The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data extremely seriously. Personal data is data which enables you to be identified personally. This privacy policy explains which data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose we do this.

Please be aware that security loopholes can occur when data is transmitted online (e.g. communicating by email). It is impossible to completely protect data from third-party access.

Information about the data controller

The data controller responsible for this website is:

Albrecht & Dill Cosmetics
Brandstücken 16
22549 Hamburg
Germany

Tel.: +49 (0)40 800 9101
Email: office@ad1950.de

Withdrawing your consent to data processing

Many data processing activities can only be conducted with your explicit consent. Once you have given your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. All you need to do is send us an email. If you withdraw your consent, the legality of any data processing performed prior to this revocation remains unaffected.

Right to complain to the relevant supervisory body

If infringements of data protection legislation occur, the party affected has the right to complain to the relevant supervisory body. The supervisory body responsible for data protection issues is the data protection commissioner of the federal state in which our company is based. A list of data protection commissioners and their contact details can be found by clicking on this link: www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.

Right to data portability

You have the right to request that a record of the data which we process automatically based on your consent or to fulfil a contract is supplied to you or a third party in a standard, machine-readable format. If you ask for the data to be transmitted directly to another controller, this will only be done if it is technically viable.

SSL and/or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL and/or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries which you send to us as the website operator. You can tell when a connection is encrypted because the address line in the browser changes from ‘http://’ to ‘https://’ and the lock symbol appears in your browser bar. If SSL and/or TLS encryption is activated, third parties cannot read the data you transmit to us.

Information, blocking, erasure

The applicable legislation gives you the right to request information at any time, free of charge, about the personal data kept on record about you, its origins and recipient, and the purpose for which the data is processed. If applicable, you are also entitled to have this data rectified, blocked or erased. You can contact us at any time using the address provided in the legal notice to do this or to ask any questions you may have about personal data.

The website operators expressly reserve the right to take legal action should they receive unsolicited promotional information, such as spam emails.

3. Data collection on our website

Cookies

This website uses cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies help us to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files which are placed on your computer and stored by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are session cookies. They are automatically deleted when you leave our website. Other cookies remain on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognise your browser the next time you visit.

You can set up your browser to inform you when cookies are set and only allow cookies in individual cases, accept cookies in specific cases or always reject them. You can also choose for cookies to be deleted automatically when you close your browser. Deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Cookies which are needed to complete an electronic communication process or to provide certain functions which you wish to use (e.g. the shopping basket function) are stored on the basis of section 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies to provide services which are free from technical errors and work optimally. If other cookies (e.g. to analyse your browsing behaviour) are stored, these are treated separately in this privacy policy.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This information comprises the:

  • browser type and version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • time of the service request
  • IP address

This data is not combined with data from other sources. Data of this kind is collected on the basis of section 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in its website being displayed without technical errors and in optimising its online offering. Server log files need to be collected for these purposes.

Contact form

When you send enquiries to us using the contact form, your details from the query – including the contact details you submit with it – are stored by us for the purpose of handling the enquiry and any subsequent questions. We do not forward this data without your consent. Data entered in the contact form is therefore processed solely on the basis of your consent (section 6[1][a] GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time. All you need to do is send us an email. If you withdraw your consent, the legality of any data processing operations performed prior to this revocation remains unaffected.

The data which you entered in the contact form is retained by us until you request its erasure, revoke your consent to its storage, or the data no longer needs to be stored for the original purpose (e.g. once your enquiry has been dealt with). Mandatory legal requirements – especially storage periods – remain unaffected.

If you submit inquiries to us via our contact form, the information provided in the contact form as well as any contact information provided there in will be stored by us in order to handle your inquiry and in the event that we have further questions. We will not share this information without your consent.

The processing of these data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, if your request is related to the execution of a contract or if it is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests addressed to us (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit.f GDPR) or on your agreement (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested.

The information you have entered into the contact form shall remain with us until you ask us to eradicate the data, revoke your consent to the archiving of data or if the purpose for which the information is being archived no longer exists (e.g. after we have concluded our response to your inquiry). This shall be without prejudice to any mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods.

4. Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions provided by the Web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google, Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files stored on your computer to enable the way in which you use the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your usage of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored.

Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of section 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour to optimise their online offering and their advertising.

IP anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. This means that your IP address is shortened by Google within the Member States of the European Union or other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases is the whole IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the website operator to analyse your usage of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services associated with use of the website and the internet. The IP address transmitted to Google Analytics by your browser is not combined with other data held by Google.

Browser plugin

You can prevent cookies from being stored by selecting the corresponding settings in your browser software. However, please note that you may not be able to use all the functions of this website in full if you do so. You can also prevent the data generated by the cookie about your usage of the website (incl. your IP address) from being submitted to and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available here: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Opting out of data collection

You can prevent your data from being collected by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. This sets an opt-out cookie which stops your data from being collected when you visit this website in the future. Deactivate Google Analytics. You can find more information about what Google Analytics does with user data in Google’s privacy policy: support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245.

Data processing contracts

We have concluded a data processing contract with Google and comply fully with the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities in our use of Google Analytics.

Demographic reports in Google Analytics

This website uses the ‘Demographics’ feature of Google Analytics. This enables reports to be prepared which contain information about the age, gender and interests of visitors to the website. This data comes from interest-based advertising by Google and from visitor data supplied by third-party providers. The data cannot be assigned to a particular person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the advertising settings in your Google account or prevent any of your data from being collected by Google Analytics as explained in the section ‘Opting out of data collection’.

5. Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we need an email address from you along with information which allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and wish to receive the newsletter. No other information is collected unless you choose to provide it. We only use this data to send the requested information and do not forward it to third parties. Data entered in the newsletter subscription form is processed solely on the basis on your consent (section 6[1][a] GDPR). You can withdraw your consent to us storing the data and email address and using these to send the newsletter at any time, for example by clicking on the ‘Unsubscribe’ link in the newsletter. If you withdraw your consent, the legality of any data processing operations already performed remains unaffected.

The data we hold on record for the purpose of the newsletter subscription is retained by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and erased when you cancel your subscription. Any data stored by us for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the members’ area) remains unaffected.

6. Plugins and tools

Google Maps

This site uses the Google Maps service via an API. The provider is Google, Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. It is necessary to store your IP address in order to use the functions of Google Maps. This information is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The operator of this site has no influence on this data transmission. Google Maps is used in the interests of presenting our online offering in an appealing way and making it easier to find the places mentioned on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest as defined in section 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can find more information about what happens to user data in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.
